Can I Handle Immigration Issues Myself?

In most cases, the answer is, “no.” Immigration law is complicated and there is a lot at stake for you and/or your family. So even a simple mistake, like filling out the wrong form, omitting important information, forgetting to sign a form, or missing a deadline can have very serious consequences. However, common errors that can result in lengthy delays or application denials are easily avoided with the help of a qualified attorney.

Can a paralegal or someone else help me?

For every immigrant seeking officially recognized U.S. citizenship or residency, there are countless businesses and organizations offering help. While some of these offers are legitimate, many are not. Trying to figure out which ones can be overwhelming, confusing, and expensive. In reality, an experienced immigration lawyer is the only person who can provide the comprehensive legal assistance necessary to help you achieve your goals.

What are the Attorney Services that Zontlaw offers?

We are a full-service immigration law firm located in New York City that proudly serves clients in all 50 States. Zontlaw Legal Services offers clients, fixed-fee legal services provided by licensed Attorneys. We utilize our own cutting-edge proprietary, easy-to-use, and secure, online case management system to provide convenient, low-cost, and effective legal services to our clients. Depending on your individual circumstances and the complexity of your case, which our easy and short online quizzes will determine for you, we will direct you to the best options available for your individualized representation. Principally, we have three pathways that our clients and attorneys will pursue depending on the complexity of each individual case, the client’s budget, and the amount of time the client wishes to put into their own immigration case. 1. Full Attorney Representation:  We provide traditional start-to-finish immigration legal services, with direct Attorney-to -client communication every step of the way, for all kinds of immigration petitions and benefits. This option is always available, and we will be very happy to represent you to the fullest extent; fairly, effectively, and zealously. This option is typically appropriate for more complex cases, as well as for our busier clients who wish to be less involved with their petitions. Because it is more work for our attorneys, this option will be more expensive. However, Full Attorney Representation might be the best and only option if your case is very complex. Don’t worry about making that decision, however, because we will always let you know if we believe that Full Attorney Representation is necessary to effectively represent your interests. 2. Attorney Application Review Service:  This option is more cost-effective for the client than Full Attorney Representation and it enables the client to do their own Immigration petitions and applications. You will use our easy-to-use, online platform to fill out your petition and the supporting documentation; all along while having the peace of mind that everything you input will be carefully checked by one of our licensed attorneys for accuracy and completeness.  Our attorneys will tell you if changes need to be made, and provide feedback on where and what to change. In this way, you can do much of the work yourself, save some money, and have the reassurance that you have done your petition correctly. This option will typically be available when your case is relatively straightforward, and we will always let you know if we believe that you’re a good candidate for this service. About our revolutionary and easy-to-use Immigration Software Platform: The software platform enables clients and attorneys the ability to complete any client-eligible USCIS immigration petition and the required supporting documentation, with ease and certainty. It takes the confusing and difficult-to-understand USCIS petitions and distills them down into easy-to-use forms, with step-by-step instructions, simple questions for the user to input, and real-time feedback as you go. As you fill in the information, the system only gets smarter and starts working for you. You’ll quickly notice that your name and biographical data that you previously entered, will be automatically filled in where required on other parts of the form. In the end, you’ll have a real USCIS        immigration petition, on their official form, without ever having to fill out a  confusing USCIS petition. You’ll also breathe easy as every single thing you input will be checked by the software system itself; and at the end, manually by a licensed attorney for completeness and accuracy.  3. Phone Consultations Service: Schedule a phone consultation with one of our experienced attorneys. This service is a standalone fee of $150 dollars and we will set aside brief but ample time just for you, to fully discuss your immigration situation and to help you move forward with confidence. If you decide to pursue either our Full Attorney Representation option or our Application Review service after your consultation, we will apply your $150 dollar phone consultation fee towards the price of either service. It is our aim to please, make our clients comfortable, and always find them the best option. Schedule your consultation today.

Who will I work with?

You will work with an experienced immigration lawyer. For phone consultations, we can provide interpreters free of cost, as needed to best serve you.

How do I sign the agreement or retainer?

We have teamed up with eSignature to make it easy for our clients to sign their contracts with their attorney. With eSignature, the contract can be easily signed electronically once you feel comfortable and ready to do so. You can even receive the signature field in a Text Message and paste it into the Agreement Preview window

Why choose us?

Immigrants seeking U.S. citizenship often face overwhelming, but not insurmountable challenges. In order to overcome them, it is essential to secure dedicated legal assistance from an experienced immigration attorney who is capable of taking on even the toughest cases. That is exactly what we aim to deliver to each and every client. But it is not all. We are also dedicated to providing the individualized and personal attention that each client deserves–and all at affordable rates.

Are Zontlaw Attorney Services prices competitive?

Zontlaw is committed to providing you with the best immigration representation at affordable prices. We as a firm utilize our own unique proprietary software to manage our client’s cases. What this really means for our clients is that we are able to handle cases for less than many other firms, because we have put in the time to automate much of our work. This means that not only can we provide savings to our clients, but we can spend more of our attorney’s precious hours double-checking to make sure your petition is done properly.

How is Zontlaw different from other providers?

What separates us from our competitors is our philosophy that not only is every case unique, but so is every client. This is reflected in our willingness to go the extra mile for our clients. In addition to assessing your legal needs, we will also assess your individual and personal needs. We want to reduce your stress as much as we can and make our clients as comfortable as possible with the status of their immigration matters.

Our philosophy is reflected at every stage of our representation. From the initial consultation and throughout our thorough analysis and preparation of your case file and supporting documentation, until we need to fight for you in the courtroom; should it come to that. We are willing to go there with you, support you, and communicate at all times about your status and our strategies for your personalized representation. One should never be left in the dark to worry about the status of their legal matter, or left with unanswered questions by their attorney. We aim to please and that’s exactly what we do.

How does our representation process begin?
  1.  You will initially be prompted to take one of our quizzes to see how we can best help you fulfill your immigration needs.
  2. After completing one of our quizzes, you will select the service that best fits your needs and/or budget. If you aren’t quite ready to proceed with our services, you can also elect to schedule a consultation to speak with one of our experienced attorneys.
  3. You will request and sign our Agreement (retainer) electronically
  4. You will pay for your service
  5. Your lawyer will call you within 24 hours to schedule your consultation
Why should I pay for a phone consultation?

During the typical “free” phone consultations, you don’t receive any information specific to your case. Instead, you get a general overview of the services the firm provides. At Zontlaw, we will answer your questions and provide you with specific information during the phone consultation. We also return calls within one business day, minimizing demands on your time and resulting aggravation.

It is important to note, that if you signed up for our Attorney Representation service, but have yet not made any payments towards your retainer, your initial consultation will not occur until you make payment. To avoid delays, you can either prepay for your consultation or make a payment towards your Attorney Representation service.

What does the Attorney APPLICATION REVIEW service include?

All of our services include a telephone consultation scheduled with an experienced immigration lawyer within 1 business day of purchase. In this consultation, you will receive concrete answers and advice specific to your situation, in order that you may feel as comfortable as possible moving forward.

The Attorney Application Review Service: Our Attorney Application Review service is the least expensive way for our clients to get their immigration applications completed; as our service enables the client to do much of the work themselves. After the initial consultation (described above), you will use our easy-to-use and secure online software to fill out your petition and any supporting documentation. Then after you have finished, everything that you entered on your application will be carefully and diligently checked by our attorneys for accuracy and completeness. Before you ever file your petition with USCIS, our attorneys will tell you if changes need to be made, and provide the necessary feedback for you to make those changes. Thus, with our Attorney Application Service, you can do much of the work yourself–in turn saving money, and having the reassurance that your application will be done correctly and professionally. This service is not available for all of our clients. It will depend on the complexity of your individual case, but this service is a viable and cost-effective option for many clients. If you’re a candidate for our Attorney Application Review Service, we will let you know based on the information you provide us in your quizzes and/or during your initial consultation.

Are Zontlaw’s Attorney Services available in my area?

Yes. Here at Zontlaw, our Attorney Services are available to clients living anywhere in the United States. However, you must have a U.S. phone number to use our services.

Who will I work with?

You will work with an experienced immigration lawyer. For phone consultations, we can provide interpreters free of cost, as needed to best serve you.

Will the attorneys be local to my area?

While our attorneys may not be local to your specific area, because Immigration Law is federal law, all of our attorneys will be properly licensed and prepared to practice in your individual jurisdiction.

How long will I have to wait for my attorney to contact me?

Your attorney will call you within one business day after purchase of our services, to schedule your more in-depth telephone consultation at a time that works for you. For example, if you purchase one of our attorney services at 2 p.m. on Friday, you can expect a call by 2 p.m. on Monday to schedule your initial consultation.

Is it possible to schedule my initial call?

When you sign your retainer for our services, there will be a place on the agreement where you can easily schedule your initial call. Do not worry.

What if I miss the initial phone call?

Do not worry. You can call back, or the attorney will call you again—just keep your phone with you so you are available when they try to call. If you are having trouble connecting, please contact us by email at Igor@LitvakLawNY.com or, by phone at 1-888-ZONTLAW / 1-888-966-8529.

What kinds of questions can I ask during my consultation?

You may ask anything related to your immigration status, including questions about a specific process, document, or form, or about the meaning of specific terms or phrases. You may ask for advice,  insight into possible outcomes, and the best way for you to proceed based on your circumstances. Phone consultations also allow you to get a second opinion about your immigration case, which is often very valuable in a field as complex as law. Before you speak with one of our attorneys, we recommend that you prepare any questions that you may already have. This is because your consultation will be brief but adequate in length (they are usually between 30 and 45 minutes), and we want to assist you as best we can with that time. The more prepared you are, the better we’ll be able to help you with your case. We encourage you to do some of your own research in our knowledge base, so you can educate yourself about our practice areas, and maybe even find the answers to some of your questions. The most common questions we get have to do with cost and time. How much will I have to pay? How long will this take? We’ll address both of these concerns in your consultation, as well as answer other questions. The primary goal of the consultation is to help you decide if we are the right fit for your immigration needs. Keep in mind, if you decide to retain us as your attorneys, we will apply the paid $150 dollar phone consultation fee towards the overall price of your representation. Remember, you only have a small window of time during the consultation, so make sure to prepare yourself as much as you can, and have your questions ready to ask the attorney.

Will my attorney have the right skills and experience?

Our team is comprised of highly-qualified attorneys, who are licensed to practice immigration law throughout the United States and who have chosen to offer fixed-fee legal services.
